NEW APPLICATION OF CATALPOL

An application of catalpol in preparation of a medicament or health-care food for treating hyperthyroidism or a related hyperthyroid heart disease. An experiment shows that catalpol can improve exterior behavior performance of a mouse with hyperthyroidism, show a tendency of increasing the weight of the mouse; reduce oxygen consumption and decrease the heart rate; and obviously improve T3, FT3 and FT4, a heart weight indicator and a left ventricle weight indicator of the mouse.
