The present invention relates to a method for treating soil contaminated with heavy metals and, more specifically, to a method for treating and purifying soil contaminated with heavy metals such as As, Cu, Cd, Zn, Fe, Mn, Pb, etc. The method for treating soil contaminated with heavy metals comprises the steps of: i) applying oxalic acid to soil contaminated with heavy metals so that a complex compound with the heavy metals is produced and the heavy metals are separated from the soil; ii) adding NaOH in waste water from which the heavy metals are separated so that heavy metal salt precipitate is produced in the waste water; iii) adding hydrochloric acid in the waste water from which the precipitate is removed so as to acidize the waste water; and iv) reusing the acidized waste water to remove heavy metals in other contaminated soil. |
