The method for producing a magnesium orthovanadate catalyst for oxidative dehydrogenation of n-butane using oxygen and carbon dioxide as an oxidant according to one embodiment of the present invention includes: a step of preparing a precursor solution; a step of preparing a solid acid solution; a step of preparing a solid acid precursor solution; a step of preparing a vanadium precursor solution; a step of preparing a catalyst forming solution; and a step of obtaining a magnesium orthovanadate catalyst.
