PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasound diagnostic apparatus capable of generating a three-dimentional ultrasonic image enabling an operator to correctly recognize the depth of each site without being affected by voxel values. SOLUTION: The ultrasound diagnostic apparatus for generating a three-dimentional ultrasonic image based on the volume data and displaying the image, executes volume rendering on the basis of the voxel value of each voxel of the volume data on a visual line and the opacity set in accordance with the voxel value and generates voxel value-projected image data (202). The apparatus executes volume rendering on the basis of a distance from a projection surface of each voxel of the volume data on the visual line and the opacity and generates distance-projected image data (203). The apparatus generates a three-dimentional ultrasonic image subjected to color tone conversion based on the voxel value-projected image data and the distance-projected image data (204), thereby displaying an image in which the depth of each site can be correctly recognized without being affected by the voxel values.
