A connector for a cystoscope and other endoscopic instrument having a condenser connected between the leads of a twin lead supply cable. One embodiment (Figs. 1-3, not shown) forms the subject of Specification 808,911. In the embodiment of Fig. 4, contacts 33 and 35 are separated by insulation 36, and the outer contact of a mating concentric plug is interrupted by an insulating section so that the contact tongue 35 may be brought into and out of contact by relative rotation of the plug and socket. The condenser 27 connected across the cable leads is housed in body 1. Alternatively (Figs. 5 and 6) the contacts may be in the form of plates 37 separated by insulation 38 and having forks 40 for clipping on to cylindrical sleeve contacts on the instrument, the condenser 27a being housed in a tube 44 between terminals 39 across which the condenser is connected. A sliding switch 45 connects or disconnects plates 37.
