The valve (10) has a pick-up element (12) formed in a surface of a groove. A first bore connects the valve with a first hydraulic fluid line (18). A second bore connects the valve with a second hydraulic fluid line (20). A vent hole connects the valve with a vent channel (22). The pick-up element is arranged in a tubular connecting portion (16). The groove connects the first and second hydraulic fluid lines to the vent channel in a first switch position and a second switch position, respectively. A bleed bore is arranged between two holes of the connecting portion. An independent claim is also included for an internal combustion engine.
