<p>The ultrasonic transducer (10) has a vibrating body (12) for generating or receiving of ultrasound, and a damping body (14). The damping body has a partial body (16) arranged at a rear side of the vibrating body and another partial body (18) arranged at the former partial body. The former partial body is formed of a material with an acoustic impedance adapted to the material of the vibrating body. The latter partial body is formed of another material with a high acoustic damping. The former partial body is cone-shaped and is arranged with the base surface on the vibrating body. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) an ultrasonic flow measuring device with an evaluation unit; and (2) a method for generating or receiving of ultrasound with a vibrating body.</p> |
