The installation has a catalytic gas denoxification reactor (1) placed in a denoxifier gas treatment circuit. A regeneration circuit for regenerating a portion of a catalyst has a gas inlet (17) communicating with a regeneration gas supply pipe and a gas outlet (21) communicating with gas exhaust pipes (23, 39). A recycling pipe (55) recycles a portion of gas. The recycling pipe is connected with the exhaust pipes at upstream end (55a) and between a gas heating unit (29) and the inlet in the reactor at downstream end (55b) to ensure gas mixture. An independent claim is also included for a method for treating gas.
