WIRE GRID POLARIZER, DEVICE AND METHOD FOR FABRICATING THE SAME

The present invention relates to a wire grid polarizer, and a device and a method for manufacturing the same. More specifically, the wire grid polarizer is manufactured in a structure of simple and high production efficiency by using a mold having nanopatterns and the electrocast plating process. The method for manufacturing a wire grid polarizer includes the steps of: forming resin patterns on the metal layer surface of a substrate with a flat mold or a cylindrical mold on which nanopatters are processed, and a polymer material which is cured by ultraviolet rays or heat; forming plating patterns between the resin patterns by using the electrocast plating process; and adhering and transferring the resin patterns and the plating patterns to a transparent adhesive of a flexible substrate, thereby manufacturing a wire grid polarizer by consecutive processes and remarkably reducing the manufacturing time and production costs.
