A front wheel folding device for a three-wheel cart including a golf bag cart, a baby stroller or a goods transport cart is disclosed. The front wheel folding device includes a fixed base 1 with an upper end coupled to a cart frame (10, figure 1) and having an elastic press plate 15 and a plurality of teeth 14; a moving base 2 coupled to the fixed base by a rod 24 and having a gear disk 26 engaged with the teeth of the fixed base for performing a reciprocal rotating movement; and a front wheel set 3 mounted to the moving base and having a front wheel 31. The teeth may take the form of a semi-circular gear located on a lug on the underside of the fixed base. The press plate may comprise a spring loaded lever with a lug 151 which can be engaged or disengaged with a recess 261 in the moving base. By pressing the press plate, the moving base is released to perform a rotating movement to drive the front wheel to be disposed at a horizontal state and folded. The aligning and folding processes can be completed at the same time to achieve a convenient and quick operation. |
