<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire having improved performance of steering stability, by properly reducing vertical rigidity while maintaining rigidity in a back and forth direction of a tire of a shoulder land section. <P>SOLUTION: In a shoulder rib 2 continuously extending in a tire circumferential direction, with reference to a ground end E, an inner side in a tire width direction is defined as an inner rib 21, and an outer side in the tire width direction is defined as an outer rib 22. A groove area in the shoulder rib 2 is larger in the outer rib 22 than in the inner rib 21. In the inner rib 21, a pattern including a groove 6 and a sipe 7 is repeatedly formed in the tire circumferential direction. The outer rib 22 is formed with: a plurality of diagonal grooves 8, each of which is longer, in the tire circumferential direction, than a repeated pitch length P of the pattern in the inner rib 21 and extends diagonally to the tire circumferential direction with both ends closed in the outer rib 22, to be lined in a tire circumferential direction; and short grooves 9, each of which is located between the diagonal grooves 8 and is shorter than each of the diagonal grooves 8 in the tire circumferential direction, and in which both ends are closed in the outer rib 22. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
