The invention is directed to a pusher (21) for use in packaging (10) for displaying and dispensing items. The pusher (21) comprises an extendable member having a plurality of sections (A,B,C) which are pivotally connected to each other at at least one pivot point (27) and are configured to provide at least a pair of spaced apart portions. The pusher (21) further comprises at least one resilient member (30) positioned about the spaced apart portions to bias them towards each other in a first direction (61). The biasing of the spaced apart portions towards each other results in an extension of the extendable member in a second direction (60) which is perpendicular to the first direction (61). Also disclosed is a pusher formed from a resilient ring and twisted to form a figure of eight (21, figure 8), and a pusher (21, figure 18) assembled in a shelf-ready carton (10, figure 18). |
