Methods and systems for assessing trust in a mobile ad hoc network

On the basis of established relationship(s) between application information reported by a node and signal characteristic(s) measured from a signal carrying the application information, a correspondence between the application information and the signal characteristic(s) may be determined. If a correspondence is found, the trust level of the (transmitting) node may be increased. Otherwise, it may be decreased. In some embodiments, the correspondence may be determined on the basis of established pattern(s) of the application information and the signal characteristics.
