PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid complication of the input mechanism of an integrated circuit used for control in checking the stable rotation state of a plurality of motors. SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus comprises: an exclusive OR circuit configured such that a first ready signal and a second ready signal output a common ready signal having a different signal state indicating that only one of a first motor and a second motor is in a stable rotation state and an identical signal state indicating that both the first motor and the second motor are in a stable rotation state or neither the first motor nor the second motor are in a stable rotation state; and a state determination part formed from an integrated circuit provided with an input terminal for reception of the common ready signal and configured to determine that the first motor is in a stable rotation state when the common ready signal changes from the identical signal state to the different signal state after the drive of the first motor.
