<p>An improved aerodynamic bullet has a trailing edge having a convex profile. Shaped means are provided within an associated cartridge case, see figure 1; to guide the gases generated by explosion of the propellant to the convex face of the bullet. In an alternative embodiment a bullet may have a tapered profile to the rear face. The invention is a modification to the current bullet design. The aim of the modification is to improve bullet performance by increasing the distance travelled and the velocity of the bullet. The modification can be adapted onto a number of current bullet designs. The aim of the modification is to improve performance and range of the fired bullet. The theory behind both modifications is to channel the explosion on to a narrower surface area in order to increase propulsion.</p> |
