Class 20(3) A glass run assembly for a motor vehicle window glass 14 comprises a generally U- shaped run 18 which extends continuously along the sides and top of a supporting frame 13 and has a flexible strip 31, e.g. of nylon, secured along its base 22, the strip 31 having diverging side legs 33 which are joined by intermediate portions 36, to a pair of inturned flanges 34 which flexibly engage the corners 37 of the glass 14 to guide and support them throughout the opening and closing movements of the glass. The run 18 has a metal core 19 which is covered externally and internally respectively with the rubberized material 21, 24, the latter supporting a textile lining 26 having pile 27 extending from its side portions to engage the opposite sides 28 of the window glass 14.</p> |
