摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To save energy in a radar device searching a monitoring range and, when detecting a target, tracking it. <P>SOLUTION: The radar device includes a beam specification change section 5 controlling specifications (the number of hits and the pulse width) of a tracking beam to be applied to a target prediction position based on a prediction position and prediction S/N of a target received from a tracking processing section 4 such that the target prediction S/N does not exceed the upper limit S/N calculated by an upper limit detection probability, thereby reducing a transmission power. The radar device further includes: a clutter suppressing filter command section 305 for selecting a filter for improving a gain from a plurality of clutter suppressing filters 303 having different frequency characteristics, based on the target Doppler frequency received from a target prediction section 41; and a target Doppler bank command section 307 for selecting a Doppler bank restricting to adjacencies of the target Doppler frequency from a plurality of Doppler banks with different frequency characteristics.
