The housing has a housing body (1) for accommodating a battery cell and partially made from metal. The body is designed in a rigid manner with first, second and third material layers (2-4), where the third layer is arranged between the first and second layers and designed in an electrically insulated manner. The first and second layers are arranged at a distance to each other, and an area filled with a filling material is formed between the first and second layers. The third layer is made from ceramic material, where the body is closed by a housing cover (7).
