The device (1) has a shaft (2) rotatably arranged in a loose wheel (3) having a part connected to a synchronous body (5). An axially displaceable sliding sleeve (7) is provided with an axially displaceable pressure element (6). A coupling body (13) is displaceable in an axial direction for form-fitting connection of the coupling body with the loose wheel. The coupling body is provided with a connecting unit (17), which is engaged with recesses (18). A synchronizer (8) is provided with a conic bent annular surface (11) that is applied to a conically inclined surface of a counter ring (12). The coupling body is designed as an annular element and a gearing. An independent claim is also included for a gear box.
