Load carrier with a mobile support

The carrier has a movable support (23) arranged in a non-usage position in a gap (160) and comprising a base body (158b) e.g. steel plate. The support is protruded to a load in front of a carrier frame (163) in a supporting position (T). A guide device (166b) guides the support below a cross beam (162) i.e. pivot bearing element, during dipping movement between the non-usage and supporting positions, so that the support is arranged below the cross beam in the non-usage position and upwardly protruded in front of the beam in the supporting position. The cross beam is designed as a pipe or a round bar.
