The silencer device has a suction duct, through which air to-be supplied to an internal combustion engine (10) flows, where a resonator having an acoustic resonator is provided for attenuating propagating sound in the suction duct. The acoustic resonator is separately formed and arranged at a distance into the suction duct, where a construction element is integrated in the internal combustion engine in a partially opaque manner. The acoustic resonator is designed as a Helmholtz-resonator.
