The pressure tank system (1) has a pressure tank (4) which is operated with increased operating pressure which is corrected before a refueling process with respect to the ambient pressure. The pressure tank is assigned with a pressure relief cross-section (15) depending on demand, before refueling operation is released. An independent claim is included for a method for operating pressure tank system.
