The tool has tool tip made of diamond. A pre-tensioned elastic element acts on the tool tip, so that the tool tip is contacted on surface area (4,6) of rolling bearing ring (3) during machining of the rolling bearing ring within a contact zone and is pressed with a force along a direction of the force acting against the surface area. The direction of force to feed direction is inclined at specific angle with the surface normal (13) in feed plane spanned in contact zone perpendicular to surface area and proposed tool advancement direction.
