A spindle motor according to an embodiment of the present invention includes: a body unit; a shaft including an extension unit which extends to the outside from the upper part of the body unit in the radius direction; a sleeve which rotatably supports the shaft; a rotor which rotates with the shaft and includes a stopper unit facing the outer peripheral surface of the sleeve; and a cover plate which is coupled to the cover plate while maintaining the gap between the shaft and the lower portion of the sleeve. The cover plate includes a sealing unit arranged on the lower part of the sleeve and the shaft, an inner wall unit which extends from the sealing unit to the axis direction and is coupled to the outer peripheral surface of the sleeve, an outer wall unit coupled to the base member, and an upper wall unit connecting the upper ends of the inner wall unit and the outer wall unit. |
