<p>The present invention relates to a liquid crystal display device and a method for driving the same, capable of preventing an image quality defect due to a charge amount variation in a TRD model. The liquid crystal display device includes a pixel having first to third subpixels which share a single data line, are respectively connected to first to third gate lines, and display different colors from each other. The method for driving a liquid crystal display device includes the steps of: turning off one of first to third subpixels in a frame; extending, to the time including a charge time of the turned off subpixel, a first charge time of a subpixel to which polarity-reversed data is supplied compared to previous data supplied through a data line; increasing the first charge time to more than a second charge time of a subpixel to which polarity-maintained data is supplied compared to the previous data supplied through the data line; and varying the turned off subpixel, the subpixel to charge the polarity-reversed data, and the subpixel to charge the polarity-maintained data in rotation of the first to third subpixels in a frame unit.</p> |
