PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carrier film for carrying catalyst layer capable of producing solid polymer fuel cell having a high power generation performance, and to provide a catalyst layer transfer film and a method for producing a membrane catalyst layer assembly. SOLUTION: A membrane catalyst layer assembly is produced using a carrier film 10 for carrying catalyst layer and a catalyst layer transfer film 20. The carrier film 10 for carrying catalyst layer has a first layer 12 composed of a resin material (A) containing a resin having a melting point of 200°C or higher according to DSC method, and a second layer 14 composed of a resin material (B) containing an olefin-based resin having a Vicat softening temperature of 119-128°C, a melting of 127°C or higher according to DSC method, and a temperature difference of 6°C or higher obtained by subtracting the Vicat softening temperature from the melting point according to DSC method. The catalyst layer transfer film 20 has the carrier film 10 for carrying catalyst layer, and a catalyst layer 22 formed on the surface of the second layer 14 of the carrier film 10 for carrying catalyst layer.
