The sight (1) has a telescope body (2) provided with an eyepiece (3) and a lens (4). An illuminating device is provided for an illuminated target mask. The illuminating device is provided with a control electronics unit and an energy store. The control electronics unit is arranged in a housing (10) that is releasably accommodated in a saddle (8) on an outside of the sight. The housing is provided with electronic contact surfaces. The housing is screwed to the saddle. The saddle is provided with a sleeve-shaped wall.
