The present invention relates to an apparatus for manufacturing a half-finished bead for a tire which manufactures a half-finished bead by winding a wire around a drum of a cylinder shape. The apparatus for manufacturing a half-finished bead for a tire according to the present invention comprises: a wire supply device which supplies a wire; a drum of a cylinder shape which is installed to be rotated by a drum rotation device in order to wind the wire supplied from the wire supply device; a wire grip device which is installed to perform advance and retreat on a wire transport pathway arranged between the wire supply device and the drum so that the wire grip device is moved towards the drum while gripping the wire supplied from the wire supply device; a proximity sensor for detecting the wire grip device moved while griping the wire; and a control device which receives a detection signal from the proximity sensor and controls the operation of the wire supply device, the drum rotation device and the wire grip device.
