An evaporator is provided to prevent eccentricity of a heat exchanging medium, to obtain uniform temperature distribution in an entire area of the evaporator, and to improve heat exchanger capacity by forming a second communicating part which communicates with first and fourth areas. An evaporator comprises first and second header tanks(10,20), inlet and outlet pipes(40,50), closed parts(12), a plurality of tubes(60), a first communicating part, and a plurality of fins(70). The first and second header tanks are formed with two rows of passages. The inlet and outlet pipes are formed at two surfaces of the first header tank. The closed parts, which are installed at the rows of the first header tank respectively, adjust the flow of a heat exchanging medium. The tubes, which are connected to the first and second header tanks, are formed with a first row communicating with the inlet pipe and a second row communicating with the outlet pipe. The first communicating part communicates with areas of the first and second rows. The fins are arranged between the tubes. The second header tank is formed with a second communicating part(32). |
