发明名称 RESONANCE FREQUENCY ADAPTING ENERGY HARVESTING DEVICE FOR A GEOPHYSICAL SURVEY STREAMER
摘要 A geophysical survey streamer (24, Fig 1) that comprises a plurality of spaced apart sensors (e.g. seismic or electromagnetic sensors) powered by at least one energy harvesting device 502 that converts motion of the streamers into electrical power. To increase conversion efficiency, the device adapts its resonance frequency to match the largest component of the vibratory motion. The vibratory motion may originate from vortex shedding, drag fluctuation, breathing waves, and various flow noise sources including turbulent boundary layers. The energy harvesting device may employ a mass-spring system or a piezoelectric transducer. There may be one energy harvester in each of a plurality of detachable streamer segments. Sensors may be arranged in groups, and the streamer may include hubs which digitise data from sensor groups. The hubs may be powered by energy harvesting devices. Use of energy harvesting power sources reduces the amount of wiring that would otherwise be required along the streamer.
