The antenna element further includes, between the first and second feeding points, an electromagnetic coupling adjuster for making an amount of isolation between the first and second antenna portions.

An antenna apparatus comprising: an antenna element, which is a single conductor plate; an excitation slit disposed in said antenna element; a first feeding point and a second feeding point disposed at first and second positions, respectively, on said antenna element, and being connected to a radio signal processor circuit through a first feed line and a second feed line, respectively, said second feeding point being disposed at said excitation slit; and a ground conductor plate spaced from said antenna element by a predetermined distance, wherein said antenna element is a planar antenna configured to be excited through said first feeding point, wherein said excitation slit is a slit antenna configured to be excited through said second feeding point, said excitation slit having an open end located at a side of said antenna element facing said ground conductor plate, wherein said planar antenna and said slit antenna are configured to be simultaneously excited through said first and second feeding points, respectively, and wherein said antenna element comprises an electromagnetic coupling adjuster disposed between said first and second feeding points, and being configured to generate an amount of isolation between said planar antenna and said slit antenna.
