<p>A method and an apparatus for color transfer between images are recommended to compensate for a color difference between at least two images such as a first image and a second image by pixel data. A color map and a geometric map for corresponding feature points of the images are calculated to compensate for the first image by applying the geometric map and the color map to the first image. As a result, a compensated first image for detecting an area which failed to be compensated for is generated by comparing the compensated first image with the second image so that a color transfer can be performed except for the area which failed to be compensated for. Because the method may be performed during performance thereof and a color difference between images which are geometrically and chromatically different can be made equal, an accurate time difference can be estimated, for example, in data transmission, data compression, or a 3D application and the method is useful in decreasing bitrates for a color coherence having an improved quality of a 3D object as a result.</p> |
