The present invention relates to a urethane-type probe block for inspecting an LCD, the urethane-type probe block being characterized by including: a block body formed in the shape of a hexahedron, having a front top from which a first protrusion projects, and having a bottom on which an inclined surface is formed; a front cover formed in the shape of a plate and having a bottom on which a second protrusion is formed so as to engage with the first protrusion of the block body, thereby coupling the front cover to a front surface of the block body; a contactor made of urethane in the shape of reversed″L″, having an upper end inserted and fixed between the front cover and the block body, and having a lower end tightly fixed to a lower end of the front cover; a stick bar bonded and fixed to one side of the bottom of the contactor; a probe contactor having a film type provided with a driving IC, the probe contactor being bonded and fixed to the bottom of the stick bar; and an FPC in which an input terminal and an output terminal of the probe contactor are bonded to each other. According to the present invention, the contactor is formed of urethane and is tightly fit to a stepped portion formed in the front surface of the block body using the front cover. Therefore, assembly is relatively easy and stable elasticity is provided by virtue of a large contact area. Furthermore, the bottom of the contactor is formed to have an inclination of 3 degrees so as to allow surface contact, thereby improving the contact and the inspection reliability. |
