A vehicle control device for controlling operation of a vehicle including a vehicle body, and a tire for supporting the vehicle body and contacting with a ground surface, the vehicle control device includes an operation condition detecting unit configured to detect an operation condition that influences a side vibration of the vehicle body; a suspension geometry adjusting unit configured to adjust a suspension geometry of the vehicle; and a control unit configured to control operation of the suspension geometry adjusting unit based on a detection result of the operation condition detecting unit.

A vehicle control device for controlling operation of a vehicle including a vehicle body, and a tire for supporting the vehicle body and contacting with a ground surface, the vehicle control device comprising: an operation condition detecting unit configured to detect an operation condition that influences a side vibration of the vehicle body; a suspension geometry adjusting unit configured to adjust a suspension geometry of the vehicle; and a control unit configured to control operation of the suspension geometry adjusting unit to suppress vibration in a side direction of the vehicle body based on a detection result of the operation condition detecting unit; wherein the control unit stores a condition of the suspension geometry of the vehicle that cancels out a force in the side direction applied on a center of gravity of the tire and a force in the side direction applied on a contact point with the ground surface of the tire for every operation condition; and the operation of the suspension geometry adjusting unit is controlled to obtain the condition of the suspension geometry of the vehicle that cancels out the force in the side direction applied on the center of gravity of the tire and the force in the side direction applied on the contact point with the ground surface of the tire based on the detection result of the operation condition detecting unit.
