PURPOSE: A filter assembly is provided to reduce the thickness and the weight of a filter housing and to improve the productivity of a welding process by modifying the design of a welding part. CONSTITUTION: A welding rib(115) is formed at one edge of a filter housing(110). A filter unit(120) filters water introducing into the filter housing. A welding groove(135) is formed at a housing cap(130). The welding groove is inserted into the welding rib of the filtering housing. The size of the welding groove is smaller than that of the welding rib. Friction is generated between both sides of the welding rib and both sides of the welding groove such than the welding ribs are welded with the welding groove. Both sides of the welding rib and both sides of the welding groove are tapered. |
