An apparatus for managing point of sales (POS) includes: a POS module which receives information related to a product sale for a purchaser; and a customer identification module which obtains one or more identification information related to the purchaser. The customer identification module includes: a photographing unit which photographs an image; a control unit which controls the photographing unit to obtain the image information of the purchaser in response to the predetermined operation of the POS module; and an image processing unit which extracts one or more identification information about the purchaser from the image information.
