A method for executing an online game by using a mobile terminal with a touch screen includes a step of receiving information about an effect to be applied to a character from a user; a step of receiving a drag from a first position to a second position on the touch screen from the user; a step of selecting one or more characters on the trace of the drag; a step of applying the effect to the selected characters by using the information about the effect to be applied to the character inputted from the user; and a step of outputting a process of applying the effect to the selected characters through the touch screen.
