A computerized system and method for distributing video conference data over an internet protocol television (IPTV) system (1000) are disclosed including structures and methods for allocating an IPTV video conference channel to groups of video conference participants' set top boxes (STBs). A video data source (902) originates video conference data from an IP video camera (904). The video conference data can be sent through a switch (908) and a router (909) to a public or private IPTV network (1100) and delivered to the video conference participants (906).
