The present invention provides a torque converter for a vehicle capable of reducing the number of components and improving the productivity by including a torsional damper, not adding a separate component for a stopper, and forming a mechanical stopper. The torque converter for a vehicle includes a lock-up clutch and a torsional damper. The torsional damper includes a drive plate rotating by receiving a driving force of the lock-up clutch, a plurality of springs disposed in the circumferential direction while being elastically supported by the drive plate, and a driven plate elastically supported by the spring, receiving the driving force through the spring, and coupled to a turbine. A protrusion is provided in the circumferential direction at regular intervals on the inner circumferential surface of the drive plate. The drive plate includes a groove in which the protrusion is inserted into the center part.
