The present invention relates to a radiant heater for successive heat treatment of steel plates, which includes a first heat-emitting unit for heating one edge of a steel sheet in a certain width; a non heat-emitting unit arranged corresponding to the center area of the steel sheet; and a second heat-emitting unit for heating the other edge of the steel sheet in a certain width wherein the first heat-emitting unit has a first electric heating element for generating electric resistance heat while the second heat-emitting unit has a second electric heating element physically separated from the first electric heating element and generating electric resistance heat in order to reduce the difference between the temperature of the steel sheet edges with a great amount of heat discharged and the temperature of the steel sheet center areas with a small amount of heat discharged. |
