The present invention relates to an adsorption tower having a plate-shape heat exchanger for an adsorption type freezer, including a main body having first and second entrances respectively prepared on the front and rear, first and second space portions respectively prepared on front and rear spaces, and a cooling water duct prepared to be connected to the first and second space portions inside an upper plate and a lower plate; at least one insertion body installed between the upper and lower plates, and having a cooling water duct prepared to be connected to the first and second space portions on the inside. By the above components, the efficiency of cooling water or hot water heat exchange and the efficiency of adsorption and desorption can be remarkably enhanced, while improving the performance of the adsorption type freezer.
