Disclosed are an anode active material, a lithium secondary battery employing the same, and a manufacturing method of the anode active material. The anode active material is an alloy containing Si, Ti and Ni elements, wherein the alloy contains Si-phase and an alloy phase, and the ratio (I_(111)/I_(220)) of the peak intensity of the (111) surface to the peak intensity of the (220) surface in the X-ray diffraction spectrum of the Si-phase is 1.0-1.5.
