The present invention relates to chlorin lactone, a method for manufacturing the chlorin lactone, and a use of the same. More specifically, provided in the present invention is a new photosensitive agent for reducing a side effect by increasing a tumor selectivity and enabling an effective treatment by a laser. Provided in the present invention for achieving the purpose is chlorin lactone of the following chemical formula 1. The chlorin lactone of the present invention can be selected as a candidate substance for a new photosensitive agent.
