The present invention relates to a power take-off unit using a helical worm gear. According to the present invention, the power take-off unit using a helical worm gear comprises: a drive shaft which receives power generated by an engine from a transmission to rotate and has a driving gear at a predetermined position in a longitudinal direction; a counter shaft positioned at a predetermined distance from the drive shaft and has a driven gear engaged with the driving gear at a predetermined position in a longitudinal direction; a first helical worm gear on the counter shaft on a predetermined distance from the driven gear; and a second helical worm gear joined to a propeller shaft to be engaged with the first helical worm gear to make power generated by the engine perpendicularly transmitted to the rear wheel.
