ADAPTIVE TRANSFORM METHOD BASED ON IN-SCREEN REDICTION AND APPARATUS USING THE METHOD

An adaptive transform method based on intra prediction and an apparatus using the method are disclosed. A method for decoding an image may comprise the steps of determining an intra prediction mode group and performing transformation while changing transformation methods according to the intra prediction mode group. As a result, the transformation can be performed by applying different transform methods according to intra prediction modes.
