The objective of the present invention is to implement the localization of a discharge electrode, improves dust collection efficiency when compared to a foreign discharge electrode by providing a discharge electrode for an electrostatic precipitator which has an optimized shape to form field distribution favorable to dust collection. The discharge electrode for an electrostatic precipitator of the present invention includes: a body which has a predetermined length; and a discharge unit which comprises a protrusion which protrudes from the body in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the body, and an edge unit which has at least two edges formed on one side of the protrusion unit.
