A water-based primer composition is provided to secure stable adhesive force in no need of pre-processes such as flame-treatment and acid cleaning process and reduce the emission quantity of volatile organic compounds. A water-based primer composition comprises 20-35wt% of chlorinated polyolefin dispersion, 5-20wt% of polyurethane dispersion, 0.5-5wt% of micronized silica having 1-5micron of mean particle size, 5-20wt% of epoxy resin, 40-60wt% of ion exchange water and 0.05-0.5wt% of amines functioning as a basic curing catalyst. The chlorinated polyolefin dispersion with 5,000~30,000 of number-average molecular weight has 5-20wt% of chlorine on a solid basis of the chlorinated polyolefin dispersion. The polyurethane dispersion with 50,000~100,000 of number-average molecular weight represents polyether-based, polyester-based or polycarbonate-based polyurethane dispersion. |
