The objective of the present invention is to provide a display device and a method for manufacturing the same, capable of ensuring the beautiful appearance of a product at the same time preventing a side surface light leakage of a narrow bezel display device by adding a foaming agent in a black sealant to generate bubbles on the surface so that the diffused reflection can be induced in the side sealing process of finishing the side surface of a panel using the black sealant. The display device comprises: a panel to output an image; and a light leakage preventing member which is formed on the side surface of the panel to prevent a light leakage and is made of base resin, a photo-initiator and an additive, wherein the additive includes a foaming agent and induces fine bubbles on the surface of the light leakage preventing member to distract the incident light.
