The present invention relates to a height adjusting device for a headrest capable of: reducing assembly effort by simplifying the structure for restricting movement of a stay; and reducing manufacturing costs by reducing the number of components. To that end, the present invention includes: a stay at the end of which an engagement groove is formed in the longitudinal direction; a guide which is installed at the top of a seat back, to which the end of the stay is inserted to guide the longitudinal movement of the stay, and at the end of which a guiding groove is formed; and a stopper which is installed to be movable by being inserted into the guiding groove, has an engagement unit at the middle end for the engagement groove of the stay to be engaged, and has an elastic space at one end towards the inner end of the guiding groove to release the engagement of the stay with the engagement unit by reducing the elastic space when the other end applies pressurization towards the inner end of the guiding groove. By having the structure described above, it is possible to provide elasticity to the stopper through deformation of the stopper without installing a spring so that movement of the stay can be restricted or allowed. As a result, manufacturing costs as well as effort necessary for installation of a spring can be reduced. |
