Provided is an air conditioner capable of preventing heatstroke and hypothermia to decrease the number of people getting the heatstroke and hypothermia. The air conditioner including a human body detecting member and a temperature and/or humidity measuring member has a function of notifying an occupant or starting operation of the air conditioner if a human body is detected and the measured indoor temperature and/or humidity is within a given range in which the occupant may get the heatstroke or hypothermia during the air conditioning operation.
